SOG Blade Light- Folding model BLT50-N

Seeing is believing, I tried out many flashlights and knifes but never one device with both in one unit. I showed the SOG blade light to numerous people and they all want it. It is great device. I have carried a pocket knife and flashlight separately. Now with the SOG blade light I only have to carry one item.
Let's talk about the light part first. The Blade Light uses two AAA batteries which are very common and relatively inexpensive. They power six LEDs which emit approximately 34 to 37 lumens of light which the manufacture estimates have the run time of 260 minutes. The light is operated by a button on the rear of the unit. The switches/circuitry has a IPX-7 rating for water resistance and the unit is designed for full immersion in water. NOTE: The IPX rating measure a device resistance to water. The seventh rating means the device can be submerged up 30 minutes and the unit is water resistant. The highest rating 8 means it is completely water proof.
The handle is made of glass-reinforced nylon which reduces the knife weight to only 4.3 oz.
The blade is made of stainless steel. The hardness of the blade is HRC 58-60. This designation on the Rockwell scale means hardened high speed carbon and is used on quality knifes. The blade length is 3.9" x 11" and the total length of the blade light is 9"
It is great combo unit and it is great addition to your tools. The blade light is something I don't leave home without.
The knife retails for $ 80.00
