Malice Pack version 3 by Tactical Tailor

Tactical Tailor calls this MAILCE for modified ALICE pack. I have used a ALICE pack for years and found this pack a vast improvement. The ALICE pack was made out of nylon and this pack is made out of 1000 denier cloth, which is a tougher fabric.
The Malice makes my Large Alice Pack small in comparison. The inner compartment of the Malice is one section; the Alice pack had a pouch inside it. Tactical Tailor realized that the small pouch didn’t add any benefit and in fact restricted your access to the bottom of   the bag. The inner compartment has two separate draw strings to keep your belongings dry and secure. The cover has two pockets. The inward pocket is small which is ideal for keeping paperwork and the outer pocket is for gear.
On the outside of the Malice pack there are four zippered pockets and three non-zippered pockets. The non –zippered pockets in addition to buckles to keep them close also have a draw string to close the opening to prevent your gear from falling out.  The bottom of the pack has a zippered compartment which is fairly big.
The only thing I would have liked to see two of the pockets attacked by Mollie which could be removed and your own MOLLE gear added.
I lived out of my Alice pack for six weeks; this Malice Pack would have been a lot roomier and easier to store my items in. The Alice Pack has six outer pockets and the Malice has nine outer pockets. The Malice pack I tried had Tactical Tailor comfortable solider straps which are wilder than the Alice packs it makes a big difference when you wear it.
As with the Alice pack and more so with the Malice pack the more you carry the more it will weigh on your back just be aware of that. When a soldier is told that a piece of gear only weighs a pound, his response I already have 50 items that weigh a pound.

UNIQUE AR Hexagon Hand guard
First of all I feel like a dinosaur. I grew up with the M16A1. Thou the weapon had a carrying handle you weren’t allowed to use you had to use the sling.  When Picatinny rails came out and the M4 you had an easy way to attach lights, laser, scopes, and many other devices. The handle disappeared, as it was no longer needed and the weapon had rails attached to the hand guard.
I have seen many M16, M4, Ar15 customized to meet the user needs.  Unique AR a family owned company has come up with a way to make customize hand guards for your weapon.
I was fortunate to try one of their hand guards. I was impressed by the product. There are 14 stock Versions which range from Hex (which I used), zombie hunter, to a pink hearts. If you don’t see one you like Unique AR will custom design one for you. This truly makes your weapon stand out. It is light years from the old fiberglass hand guards. The Unique AR hand guards are free floating. To attach the hand guard you first attach supplied barrel nut to the weapon. The barrel nut is two parts. The reason is to align it properly or as the company says timing. There is a video on the website on how to attach it to weapon. The video is quite easy. You may need a barrel wrench to remove the original barrel nut on the weapon. The video doesn't go into detail about removal of the old barrel just installation of the new. Once the barrel nut is installed you then attach the hand guard to it with the screws. The Picatinny rails are attached by screws. The hand guard has pre-drilled holes which to attach the rails.
The hand guard comes in four standard lengths 7”,9”,12”,15”, thou they will customize a length for you. The Picatinny rails are extra and they come in a multitude of lengths which you can pick to suit your particular need.
The standard colors of the hand guard are black and anodized black. There are an additional 60 colors which carry an additional charge.  The color is applied using a process called Cerakote which a ceramic is coating designed to take abrasions and tough use.
The hand guard is made out of 6061 t6 aluminum. I looked on Wikipedia as I was not familiar with the material. I read that that is metal that many AR15 and M-16 use for their upper and lower receivers. The material is quite strong and used in other parts of weapons.
If you want to customize one your rifles Unique AR would be the first place I would start. The toughest part would be deciding on which design and color you want. It a great product and the hand guard starts at $175.00 to $ 225.00 for a stock item.
